Data attributions
Where our map and trail data comes from, and the licences it's published under.
Our maps are built from data that park authorities, governments and the OpenStreetMap community publish under open licences. We don't own that data, and we don't invent or create trail routes ourselves — we process the source lines for display, for example by simplifying, joining or trimming them and standardising attribute names, without changing the route they represent. Each map and trail page names the source of its trail line and the date we retrieved the data.
None of these organisations endorses or sponsors Audacia Travel. Each source is provided "as is" by its publisher; see our Terms of Use for how to use our maps safely.

Base map and community-mapped trails
- OpenStreetMap — Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors. Contains information from OpenStreetMap, made available under the Open Database Licence (ODbL). Where there's no official trail dataset, a trail line may come from OpenStreetMap. It's labelled "community-mapped" on the map, and its GPX download is free and available under the ODbL.
- Base map tiles — built from OpenStreetMap data using Protomaps. Data © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the ODbL. We removed OpenStreetMap footpaths from our base map so that the only walking lines shown are the sources listed above.
