Reserved in 1916, Freycinet is Tasmania's oldest national park. The Hazards — a granite range roughly 400 million years in the making — rise straight from turquoise bays and frame the park's best-known view: Wineglass Bay, reached via a 2.5–3.5 hour return walk from the car park.
For a longer trip, the Freycinet Peninsula Circuit covers about 27km over 2–3 days, taking in beaches, granite boulders, mountain summits, and heathland along the way.
