"The Prom" occupies the southernmost point of mainland Australia — a granite peninsula where more than 20% of Victoria's native plant species and around half of the state's bird species have been recorded. Mount Oberon's summit walk is the classic short hike, with Norman Beach a short walk from the main Tidal River campground for those after something more relaxed.
The park also takes in Victoria's largest marine national park, extending its conservation reach well beyond the coastline.
